ENCOURAGEMENT IN THE BATTLE
Where are we now?Mark Faggion, 12:30pm on November 10, 2006
Psalm 128:1 - Blessed is the man everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways..."
It has been a week, gentlemen. Where are we now? How is the valley treating you?
In my 42 years of life, I have been in a few events that were powerful influences - where God met me and those around me in a powerful way. Though the changes are real, when I get back into the every day grind of life, somehow I begin to lose the resolve. I wonder what the changes experienced really mean. Have you been there before? Are you there now?
When God meets you and brings about change, rest assured that this same Mighty Lord will see you through to victory. All we need to do is remain humble, fearing Him alone, keeping our eyes on Him. If we humbly walk where He leads, even though we stumble, we will never lose our way. I'd rather be a clumsy lout stumbling along the Lord's path than a sure-footed stud racing down my own path.
Joshua 1:6-9: "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
Be strong and courageous as God leads you in His ways. And by the way, have you connected with your accountability person? Have you put that Road Map in a conspicuous (albeit personal) place?
